Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship
Any SENIOR Student Athlete who excel in academics, athletics, and student
leadership in the community
First 36,000 to apply will win a Wendy’s Gift Card in amounts ranging
from $5 to $50
One male and one female will be awarded
Must have at least a “B” Grade Point Average (GPA)
Participate in at least one of the 33 sports officially sanctioned by the
National Federation of State High Schools
State finalists announced late October; State winners determined early November.
Please have application completed by October 1, 2009 no later than
5:00pm central time

SAE International Engineering Scholarships
HS Senior
There are over 60 corporate– and university– sponsored scholarships to qualified
students who are interested in the study of engineering and related sciences
No application fee
Scholarship awards vary

Horatio Alger Kentucky Scholarship Program
HS Senior, progressing normally toward graduation
Resident of Kentucky and a US Citizen
Planning to enter college no later than the fall following graduation
Strong commitment to pursue a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution
Critical Financial Need ($50,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is
preferred; if higher, an explanation must be provided)
Involvement in co-curricular and community service activities
Demonstrate academic achievement (Minimum GPA of 2.0)
Eight $5,000 scholarships awarded annually in Kentucky that are funded through
the generosity of Jack M. Gill and his wife, Linda.
